Rodrigo Terpins, a look at a Brazilian rally champion.

Rodrigo Terpins is a Brazilian rally driver and brother to another famous and high achieving rally driver Michel Terpins. Rodrigo himself is a high achiever having successfully completed five Sertões Rally in the curriculum at the age of 44. He began his passion for speed and sport at a tender age having been born in a sporting family his father Jack Terpins a successful basketball player in his own right as well as president of both the Latin American Jewish Council and the Maccabi Latin American Confederation.

This excellence in the family is what pushed him to pursue his rally driving passion becoming a household name in the off-road rally championships all over Brazil he has graced many of them and trounced his opponents in what seems to be routine rather than luck. Rodrigo Terpins races for the Tea Bull Sertoes Rally Team, a team that includes his equally competitive and talented brother Michel Terpins.

Together they have been racing for the last 4 seasons on board the T-Rex, which was developed for them specifically by the MEM Motorsport organization. Rodrigo has another passion which is The T1 prototype category he has on various occasions noted that this one of the main reasons why he still retains a big interest in rally.

He and his teammate brother participated and successfully competed in the recently completed 22nd Sertoes Rally championship covering an overall distance of 2,600km taking them through 2 states and seven different and diverse courses that are specifically designed to test the ability to be dynamic as well as mental and physical agility of the competitors. The team of Rodrigo and his brother finished 3rd in their race and they were ranked 8th overall out of the thirty-eight competitors.

Despite not begin able to compete in the Cuesta off-road championship that just concluded he has vowed not to miss the next one and hopefully team up with his brother to deliver nothing short of a win. He feels that he is content at the current rate of career growth and is now trying to achieve a career family balance that will enable him to get the best from both worlds.
