OSI Group is an established global company that focuses on distributing protein products such as beef patties and sausage links. The company has its headquarters situated in Aurora, and it also supplies items such as sandwiches and pizza. OSI Group is a privately operated company that has more than 70 facilities dispersed in 17 countries. David McDonald added that organization has been operating in China for two decades now and OSI has managed to grow with the country’s economy. Currently, the company runs eight processing facilities with two new factories that are under construction. David McDonald pointed out that his company is the most prominent poultry supplier in the whole of China. They recently launched a mega-plant in Henan province.
OSI Group has agreed to partner with DOYOO Group based in Zhoukor to form DaOSI. That is the third poultry operation in China that has been vertically amalgamated. The primary clients of OSI Group include the Subway, Burger King McDonald’s, Yum and Starbucks among others. The group’s CEO adds that OSI strives to incorporate equipment manufacturing companies in processing high-quality food products and safety processes.
During the 2008 Olympic Games held in China, OSI was contracted to supply 113 tons of five different types of products. The items supplied by the company included eggs, pork, chicken, beef and dehydrated onion. David McDonald graduated from the Lowa State University where he was awarded BS Degree. In 1983 to 1987, David McDonald was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He has been serving as the chairman of North American Meat Institute.
Just recently, the president of OSI Group announced that they intend to purchase a Dutch manufacturing company called Baho Foods. The company is known for the production of deli meats, snacks, and convenience foods. The goal of the deal was to subject to the government approval that will expand the company’s activities in Europe, and this will increase OSI’s portfolio and capabilities. Baho established five subsidiaries with processing factories in Germany and Netherlands. The company produces products such as Q Smart Life, Vital Convenience, Henri van de Bilt, and Bakx. The food product serves consumers in 18 countries.
